From Lyon, teaching French in Yorkshire for eleven years. Speak from Week One is her course and her method: French only, from the second session.
Claire grew up in Lyon and has taught French in Yorkshire for eleven years. She wrote Meridian's Speak from Week One course around a single bet: that adults learn faster when the class runs in French from the second session onwards.
It works because the first session is all survival kit — greetings, numbers, café French, and how to say “slower, please” with confidence. After that, English is for the last five minutes and the homework notes.
