Admissions & fees · No enrolment fee
What it costs.
How you pay.
Every fee is printed on its course page before you enquire. This page is the small print — instalments, concessions, refunds and transfers — written the size it should be.
Fees by
course type
Ranges cover every course on the board this term. The exact fee for a course — and what it includes — is on the course page, next to the start date.
Split any fee in 3
Three equal monthly payments over the first three months of your course. The total never changes: a £390 course is 3 × £130 — not £130 plus a financing line.
| Course type | Term fee |
|---|---|
| Languages · 10 weeks, evenings | £240–£260 |
| Music groups · 6–12 weeks | £150–£312 |
| Making · 4–6 weeks, materials included | £164–£228 |
| Computing · 8 weeks, live online | £280 |
| Exam prep · 16–20 weeks to the exam | £340–£390 |
- Concession rate: 15% off for full-time students and over-60s, on every course. Concessions also split in 3.
- Workshops and one-offs are paid in full when you book a seat — most are under £35.
- Gift bookings: pay for any batch and put the student's name on the enquiry form later. We keep secrets well.
How enrolment works
Four steps · About two minutes of form
-
1
Pick your batch
Choose a course and a start date from the board. If the date is printed, the batch is running — “Boarding” means the room is booked and the teacher is confirmed.
-
2
Enquire — your place is held for 48 hours
Send the course page form. We reply within one working day (Mon–Sat) with a confirmation and one payment link. No payment is taken from the form itself, and nothing is due until you reply.
-
3
Pay in full, or start instalment one
Card or bank transfer. Instalments leave your account monthly on a date you choose; the last one always lands before the course ends. No credit check, no card surcharge.
-

Start on the date printed
Arrive — or log on — at the printed time. Workbooks, materials and instruments are in the room. Online students get the class link and digital workbook the day before session one.
The rules, printed
Refunds
Full refund up to 14 days before your start date, no questions and no forms. Inside 14 days, fees convert to credit for a later batch. If we cancel a batch, you choose: full refund within five working days, or a free transfer with your fee frozen.
Transfers
One free switch to any later batch of the same course, up to seven days before you start. Inside seven days we will still try — and if your place fills from the waiting list, the switch costs nothing anyway.
Instalments
Three equal payments, same total as paying in full. If a payment fails we email you first and pause nothing until we've talked. Falling behind never cancels your place mid-course without a conversation.

questions
A fee question we haven't printed? Email hello@meridianacademy.example — a person replies within one working day.
Really. Three payments add up to exactly the printed fee — £228 is 3 × £76, £390 is 3 × £130. We would rather have the students than the interest.
Full-time students and over-60s pay 15% less on every course. Mention it on the enquiry form and show proof (student card, or anything with a date of birth) at session one or by photo reply. The discount applies before instalments are split.
Never on the enquiry form. After we confirm your place, the reply email carries one payment link. Pay in full, or start instalment one, within the 48-hour hold. Your place is confirmed the moment the first payment lands.
Yes — we invoice employers directly for any course, and instalment terms still apply. Put the employer's billing contact in the enquiry form's notes and we will handle the paperwork with them.
