The first meeting.

Bring the document, the deadline and the decision. We read what you have. We name what is missing. We tell you what the next step costs, before we take it.

  • You tell us what happened, in your own words.
  • We read your documents and ask what is missing.
  • You leave with a written note: what we understood, what happens next, and what it costs.

£250

45 minutes. One lawyer. Named in the note.

No hourly clock starts until you agree to it. If we are not the right firm, we tell you at the meeting, and point you to someone who is.

How a case works

The same four steps, whatever the matter. You always know which step you are on, and what it costs before it starts.

First meeting We read your documents and give you a written note with the next step and its price. Week 1
Papers We gather what is missing and check what the other side has said so far. Weeks 1–2
Negotiation We put your position to the other side and report every reply the same day. Weeks 2–8
Agreement or hearing Most cases end in agreement. If yours needs a hearing, your lawyer is the one who goes. Weeks 8–16

Questions we are asked

Yes. You leave with a written note of what we understood, what happens next, and what it costs. If we cannot help, we tell you at the meeting.

Most of our cases end in agreement in 8 to 16 weeks. A case that needs a hearing takes longer, and we tell you the likely range at the first meeting, not halfway through.

One named lawyer, from the first meeting. If another lawyer helps, you meet them first and you agree it. Your file is never handed to someone you have not met.

The document that started the problem, any deadlines you have been given, and the decision you need made. Do not send originals by email. We copy them at the meeting.

We tell you at the first meeting, and we point you to a firm that can. We do not take a case we cannot do well.
